There are too many shootings that are currently happening in London, and this is causing significant concerns among the residents of this Gun with magazine and ammocommunity, and we want something done about it.

Over the last couple of days, there has been shooting incidents on New Cross Road, Tyers Street, Vauxhall, August 22 Sunnyside Road Islington, and New Road White Chapel.  The shooting in Islington claimed the life of a twenty-five-year-old man.

The White Chapel shooting a man in is early 20’s arrived at the hospital with gunshot wounds currently in a stable condition.  Police were, called to Tyers Street after a report of shots. However, no one was found injured, but investigation showed that some shooting took place.

I believe that there has been an increase in certain crimes, especially in the Capital, and gun crime is one of them, and we cannot afford for criminals with guns to be running around the streets of London firing gunshots with no regard to who might get caught in the crossfire.

These are the incidents which are causing the Government to believe that we need to arm every Police officer in the United Kingdom and if that day ever arrived in this country and its cities we are going to regret that decision which once the horse goes through the gate shutting it is a waste of time.

It is understandable why a decision to arm our police force, is being considered as the criminal elements in our society behaviour and attitude is driving that decision.  My concerns are that once we do that, then we begin to see tit for tat situation. The police shooting was first asking question later and the criminal systematically shooting a police officer.

I love the United States of America, I believe it is a great country, but I do not want to see American style policing in the United Kingdom, they choose to arm their police service and time after time one can see the consequences of that decision.   They cannot turn back the clock, but the UK can learn from the US and do not go down that path.
