It is apparent in the Bible that deceit is an act that God hates. There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
In my opinion, politicians perpetuate the worse kind of deception there are. They use the fact the ninety per cent of the electorate are in poverty and struggling. Then using those facts to tell lies, make promises they cannot fulfil. Forgetting that they may lie to the people, but they cannot hide from the living God.
The scripture below gives us a glance into what God thinks about these deceivers.
1 Peter 2:1 Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings. 1 Peter 3:10 For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
