God Send Jonah To Nineveh Because Of Their Wickedness. In today’s world, so much evil and wickedness are going on.
Nineveh, like Sodom and Gomorrah, was destroyed because of the wickedness and evil of humanity. God told Jonah as written in the Bible, Jonah 1:1-2 Now the word of the Lord came unto Jonah the Son of Amittai, saying Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry against it; for their wickedness is come up before me.
Even though the world is experiencing floods, scorching heat, fires, and tornados, events that are taking millions of people’s lives, we do not seem to be heeding the word of God. We ignore the warnings told to us by the Bible, which are the words of the living God.
So let us look at the warnings in the Bible and what more destruction we can expect if we do not turn away from sin and embrace the tremendous power of God.
Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to pass, look up, and lift your heads; for your redemption, draweth nigh.
It would appear that humanity is ignoring the world of God and keep doing their evil and cruelty, so the book of Ezekiel 3:17-19 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his evil way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turns not from his wickedness, nor from his evil way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
Ezekiel 3:20-21 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity. I lay a stumbling block before him; he shall die: because thou hast not given him a warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Nevertheless, if thou warn the righteous man, that the moral sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.
Matthew 24:37-39 But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark. And knew not until the flood came, and took them away, so shall the coming of the Son of man be.
Ezekiel 33:6-7 But if the watchman sees the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword comes, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.
So thou, O Son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth and warn them from me.
Acts 17:30-31 And God winked at the times of this ignorance, but now commandeth all men everywhere to repent. Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he ordained; of which he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he raised him from the dead.
