Consider how amazing God must be that even when the people he created decide to disown him, he still believes in them and hope that they will wake up to the realisation that it is the Devil who is pulling the wool over their eyes.
However, he can only allow us to deny him for so long and then he told us here in 2 Timothy 2:12 – If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us.
We know that when we worship the living God that we can be persecuted as mention here in the book of Matthew 10:22 – And ye shall be, hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be, saved.
We are, warned that the adversary would use all that he has to deceive the children of God as 2 Peter 2:1 – But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
There is no way that we should disown or deny the Father. As we are told here in the book of Mark 8:38 – Whosoever, therefore, shall be ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
