The world along with family members mourned the passing of one of Sister Sledge member Joni who passed away on Saturday at her home at the age of 60.

According to a media report, Joni was not ill and the cause of her demise is unknown.  However, irrespective of what caused her death we will still be heartbroken that yet again we have lost another music icon.

The group Sister Sledge was formed in 1971 and they had hits like we are family.  Although the band when from four to a trio, in my opinion, they did not lose any of their musical abilities.

Their music will live on and Joni will be missed not only by her family but the thousand of fans they have around the world.  May her soul rest in eternal peace.
