Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

COVID 19 is yet again a reminder of what happens when human beings try to play God. It is not the first time and will not be the last time that humans have unleash deadly virus into our world that causes devastation.

According to the CDC (Centre for Disease Control), The 1918 influenza pandemic was, said to be the most severe pandemic in recent history. An H1N1 virus caused it with genes of avian origin. Although there is no universal consensus regarding where the virus originated, it spread worldwide during 1918-1919.

In the United States, it was, first identified in military personnel in spring 1918. It is, estimated that about 500 million people or one-third of the world’s population became infected with this virus. The number of deaths was, considered to be at least 50 million worldwide, with about 675,000 occurring in the United States.

The Coronavirus may not yet kill or infected the number of people like the 1918 – 1919 pandemic but can you see the similarity. Once again, it is humans that not only created a deadly virus but manage to allow it to come into our communities devastating every country.

I recognise these evil actions and turn to my Bible for the answers. Genesis 6:5. God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.

Matthew 15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Greed adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Psalm 9:8 And he shall judge the world in righteousness; he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.

Luke 7:21 And in that same hour he cured many of their diseases and plagues and evil spirits, and unto many that were blind he gave sight.

Genesis to Revelations the predictions of how the world will be are in the Bible. The evil and sick wickedness of man and God solutions for His creations. Open your eyes read the word of God, and you too will not be afraid of the evil or wicked greed of humanity.
