Firstly, let me say that Britain transport systems, be it overhead trains, the tube and buses are usually very safe to travel on anytime day or trainnight.  But it would appear that recently there have been some negative aspects to using the transport systems.

I am concerned, at the number of incidents that occur on our transportation systems and believe that the authorities must solve these events quickly to restore commuter faith.  The incidents listed below happen recently:

  1. 15-year-old sexually assaulted on an overground train in Hackney
  2. Police are hunting a man that sexually assaulted a 60-year-old woman as she waited for a train at a South-west London station
  3. A punch floored a Polish woman during a race row on a late-night tube train.  Apparently, the victim was traveling on a Westbound District line when the row started, and the man made reference to her being Polish before punching her in the face.
  4. Police are currently hunting a man who was seen urinating on the gates of Piccadilly Circus when confronted by a staff member the perpetrator attacks and bites the Tube worker’s face.

Commuters expect the London Transport and the Metropolitan Police to find these individuals.  Some these incidents caught on CCTV, so with all that evidence it should make it very easy to identify these perpetrators.  Images of some of these individuals are in the media, and it is up to the public as well to help the police identify these people.
