According to media reports singer Robin Thicke has been accused by his former wife of spanking and punching their son.Parents angry with a child

I take a dim view of individuals whether they are public figures or not, that causes grief to their children.  It is heinous and diabolical, however, what I find even more repulsive is when one of the parties in a divorce tries to use a child or children to get the upper hand on their former wife or husband.

The media further reported that following an investigation by the US Child Protection Services, they reported that they did not found any evidence to support the allegations.  Robin Thicke believes that because his former wife was not invited to his late father funeral she concocted the story about him.

I cannot say that this is the case because only three people knew what happens, but in my opinion, if someone is willing to stoop so low and put their child through such emotional trauma to get back at their ex, then something is fundamentally wrong with them.

It is bad enough when any marriage comes to an end and especially those that are under public scrutiny, both parties should work to ensure they shield their children from any emotional turmoil.  Having this kind of public mud-slinging is counterproductive to the well-being of the child.

Personally, in my opinion, Robin and Paula should grow up and put the interest of their child first and foremost.  They need to let him know that although his parent cannot be together they both love him enough to protect him.
