Firstly, because someone is wealthy does not mean that they cannot serve God, we all can worship God irrespective of whether we come from poverty or wealth.

However, God has given us some specifics in being rich and serving him. The book of Mark 10:25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

I believe that Jesus was telling his disciples that a rich man may think more about his wealth than about God. He may use his riches for negative things rather than for the benefit of his community and in that case he would not be fit to enter the kingdom ofGod.

In Matthew 19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. Jesus once again clarifies what he meant by a rich man shall hardly enter into God’s Kingdom.

I believe in God’s words in the book of Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. It did not say that some, or that the poor, the rich it states all of us have sinned.

The difference between the wealthy and those in poverty is that they have the resources to make a difference in many people’s lives. If they choose to hoard and store up their wealth without using it for the benefit of others, they do so at their peril.
