Shake Off The Yoke Of Betrayal, Hatred, Dishonesty, Malice And Spite

Betrayal 933364999207

There are times when we feel that we need to be hateful to those who wrong us and treat them with contempt.

Betrayal, hatred, dishonesty, malice and malicious behaviour happen to most of us sometime in our lives. The people we trust can let us down so badly that we are left bitter and resentful. So we begin to wonder how I can come away from these problems which have been, inflicted upon me?

The Bible tells us in the book of Proverbs 11:1 A false balance is an abomination to the Lord: but a just weight is his delight. God recognises that the Devil was going to use this emotion to tap into our lives daily. Luke 16:10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unfair even in much.

We are tempted to retaliate when we feel that we have been wrong, but, we need to be, reminded that Leviticus 19:35 Ye shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in mete-yard, in weight, or measure. Proverbs 16:28 A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.

Sometimes I think that we forgot that the biggest betrayal happened to Jesus not by a stranger, but by one of his disciples. Judas betrayed
Jesus for thirty pieces of silver and Jesus forgave him. Even though his betrayal led to Christ being, crucified. Betrayal caused Jesus to be, killed, and his crucifixion is our redemption.

The lesson that we have been, taught is that even good can come out of wrongdoing and if God can forgive us, then we can forgive those who caused us, harm and hurt. Jeremiah 12:6 For even thy brethren, and the house of thy father, yet they have dealt treacherously with thee; yea, they have called a multitude after thee: believe them not, though they speak fair words unto thee.

Mighty God, forgive us of all our wrong-doing strengthen our resolve to be able to forgive those who have caused us to hurt and more than ever teach us to leave all vengeance to you in Jesus name Amen.
