Mighty God, on this day that is deemed Mother’s day we come before you and ask that you bless every mother today and give them the love, patient and tolerance they need to take care of their children.
We know that mothers are essential to our lives a role that you have ordained and sanction. Bless and protect every mother and those that are struggling with their role as mothers, lift them and help them to fulfil their duties in your great name.
You told us in the book of Genesis 17:16 And I will bless her, and give thee a son also of her: yea, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of people shall be of her.
In Ephesians 6:2-3, the Bible is not only telling us to obey our father, but to Honour, thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
1 Timothy 5:2 Tells us to treat the senior women as mothers; the younger as sisters, with all purity.
The book of 2 Kings 4:30 enlighten us to the commitment of a mother because it says, And the mother of the child said, As the Lord liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he arose and followed her.
