Understanding The Meaning Of The Rapture

Many Christians and even those that do not believe in God speak about the rapture. But sometimes I think that people are either confused or do not understand how the rapture will occur.

Firstly, to understand what the rapture is about we need to turn to the Bible and read what it says about the second coming. No one, not even the angels know when the second coming is. However, there are certain criteria that God sets out that have to be, met, and so far, the world have not fulfilled all the instructions that were, laid down.

Now we turn to the Bible verses that give us an insight as to how God’s instruction will be, fulfilled and when the world can begin to contemplate how near the rapture may be.

Mark 13:32 – But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

Matthew 24:29-31 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be, darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be, shaken:

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.  And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

1 John 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

So before the rapture, we have to undergo as stated in the above Bible verse tribulations, the antichrist and all the prophecies that will happen to God’s people.

1 Thessalonians 4:17 – Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Luke 17:34-37 I tell you, in that night there shall be two people in one bed; the one shall be, taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be, carried away and the other left.

Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be, taken, and the other left. And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be, gathered together.

So let us rest assured that because no man knoweth when the rapture will occur the world must wait we have seen nations rising against nations, wars and rumours of wars, a deadly virus, famine and we await the antichrist.
