The Bible Perspective on Lies and Their Influence on Society

A fool is someone who lacks sense, unwise and lacks judgement. Fools do not want to learn the truth. They chuckle at the truth and turn their eyes away from the truth. Fools are wise in their own eyes failing to take in wisdom and advice, which will be their downfall. Fools suppress the truth by their unrighteousness.

Satan knows that he cannot have total control over the world and God’s children without first make it possible for humanity to disown God and become fools.

But, two thousand years ago God knew Satan’s plans so he left us with these words. Psalm 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, none doeth good.

There is no doubt that God believes that you are a fool if you think he does not exist. Satan uses every trick in his arsenals such as greed, evil, vanity and other human fragilities to get you to think that if there was a God then you would not experience the bad things in your life.

Let us look at how the Bible categorises how fools act and why the Devil uses them.

Proverbs 18:2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself. Proverbs 29:11 A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards.

Proverbs 29:9 If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest. Proverbs 15:7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so.

Titus 3:3 For we also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.

The Bible is full of scripture that talks about fools and their foolish ways. It is a warning that we all can be fooled by the Devil and until we keep our guard up and our eyes on God Satan can lead you into acting like fools.

Proverbs 15:2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness. Ecclesiastes 10:2 A wise man’s heart is at his right hand, but a fool’s heart at his left.
