Right now, the world is going through one of the biggest crisis that the 21st century as ever seen.

There are still a few people who are still alive that can share stories with this generation about what it was like to live in world war two, and I doubt whether there is anyone alive that would be able to tell us about the 1918 flu pandemic.

What we know about the devastation of that pandemic is what we read in the history books, and the vast majority of us cannot believe that we would in our lifetime witness something as devastating as the coronavirus. COVID 19, a silent, unseen killer that is ravaging our planet and it would appear that there is no end in sight to this virus.

How do we use our faith in God to keep us safe and see us through this epidemic? The Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Our belief is, predicated on things we cannot see, but we hope that it is there and therefore we remain unshaken even in this critical time.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Know one can say that these are not turbulent times, lives have been, altered in ways that we would never dream it could in our lifetime. Yet throughout this challenging period in our lives, we have one constant that never changes. God promises that he would never leave or forsake us, and we have to hold steadfast to his words so that we can go through these hard times.

We are experiencing social distancing, mass unemployment, disastrous economy and financial hardship for millions of people around the world. This situation gives the Devil the opportunity that he needs to try and turn people away from God.

Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God. Hope is not something we conjure up on our own; it is not something we are born with; faith is a pursuit of the spiritual.

You cannot allow the Devil to play with your faith, no matter what he throws at you remember that God so loved the world that he gave his only son to die for your sins and if our Saviour did that for you what other things would he not do.

We will come through this turbulent times, and we will be stronger in our faith in God, knowing that he will take us through and keep us safe and if he chooses to call some people home then he has the master plan. So raise your voices and thank him every day. Coronavirus is on its way out in Jesus name Amen.
