Forgiveness is something that human beings find challenging to do, especially when we feel used, abused and betrayed.

The thought of forgiving someone that causes us so much pain is painful, but if we are to walk in the light of God that is what we have to do and the Bible, the word of God gives us many instructions and how we can achieve forgiving our trespassers.

God is telling us here in this scripture how vital forgiveness is as said in the book of Matthew 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

We are, warned in the book Luke 17:3-4 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he trespasses against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. It is essential that we forgive even it the individual continually offend us.

We must according to the book of Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice. And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. Put away any thoughts of anger, malice, evil and wrath so that we can forgive and be kind to each other as is ordained by the Creator.

Here is God’s absolute commitment to us here in Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins are as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
