So what is the Holy Spirit and why is it essential for our lives to know and understand what the Holy Spirit is doing for us.

The Holy Spirit lives inside those who believe in Jesus, to produce God’s character in the life of the believer. In the way that we cannot do on our own, the Holy Spirit will build into our lives love, patience, peace, joy, faithfulness, kindness, goodness, self-control, and gentleness.

Because the Holy Spirit lives within us it, tugs on our hearts and minds, urging us to repent and turn to God for forgiveness and a new life. One of the primary roles of the Holy Spirit is that He bears witness of Jesus Christ. He speaks truth into the heart of people about Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit acts as a teacher, and He reveals God’s will and God’s revelation to a Christian.

Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost has come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Matthew 12:32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be, forgiven: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be, pardoned, neither in this world, neither in the world to come

Here in the book of Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is, given unto me in heaven and the earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
