Why You Cannot Trust God Only Sometimes It Must Be All Times

There is a tendency for human beings to only trust God when it suits us to do so and when we believe it is convenient.

Trust in God becomes an issue with many people because they cannot believe how a God who is all good, all-powerful, and all-knowing fails to meet our expectations or do the things we want. So let us look at what the Bible says about trusting God.

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. We do not have the whole picture of our lives therefore, we need to trust God because he has the whole picture and he knows what is good or bad for us. So sometimes when we ask him for anything he will take his time to deliver it to us because he knows when our request to him will bring us joy, not sorrow.

Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 37:4-6 Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Psalm 9:10 And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, Lord, hast not forsaken them that seek thee. Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Jeremiah 17:7-8 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Every aspect of the Biblical words teaches us about having faith in God and knowing that he will never let us down, forsake or abandon us. Keep your faith and trust that God will come through for you in whatever you ask of him and above all do not let Satan plant doubts about the living God in your hearts and mind.
