Lies And Disinformation Creating Chaos Among God’s People. The Devil is working very hard and using certain individuals that are spreading lies and chaos among God’s people and we need to be vigilant if we are going to combat Satan and his minions.
To understand how dangerous these lies are we need to look to the Scripture to understand the force we need to combat these lies and misinformation.
What does the Bible teach us about liars and manipulators?
Proverbs 19:9 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.
Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are his delight.
Proverbs 6:16-19 These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him. A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief. A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Matthew 12:36-37 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words, thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Psalm 101:7 He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.
John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it.
Colossians 3:9 Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds. Proverbs 26:28 A lying tongue hateth those that are afflicted by it; and a flattering mouth worketh ruin.
Proverbs 12:19 The lip of truth shall be established forever: but a lying tongue is but for a moment. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Proverbs 17:4 A wicked doer giveth heed to false lips; and a liar giveth ear to a naughty tongue. Psalm 5:6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the Lord will abhor the bloody and deceitful man. Exodus 23:1 Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
Proverbs 10:18 He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool.
We must heed the word of God because those who fail to follow his instructions will account for their ways and there is no bargaining with God unless you repent your sins and stop your lies.
