There are times when the people closest to you betray you in such ways that leave you emotionally devastated.
These are painful emotion that can rip apart your self-confidence, ability to trust, and leave you feeling empty. Father, just having someone close to you that you loves turn their backs on you, whether it be from a spouses infidelity or a friend’s backstabbing gossip. Let us pray to God for his help.
Mighty God, I’ve been betrayed by someone, and I feel angry, sad and devastated. These feelings are consuming my thoughts, and I feel miserable. I call upon Your love to lift me and remind me I am worthy of being treated with love, honour and respect. I am learning that what You created within me cannot be altered, harmed or threatened by anyone else.
I choose not to hold on to my feelings of pain and judgment, I want to feel the safety of your love, and experience happiness in abundance that I deserve. I am trading these uncomfortable feelings for the peace that my God has for me. I’m willing to forgive this person, release my grievance and turn this over to you. As I choose to forgive, I open myself to receive God’s tremendous blessings and miracle.
Mighty God you have told me here in Proverbs 19:5 A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall not escape. Lord, I pray that you will help the betrayer bring them into your fold and let them understand their actions are wrong.
I pray that they will be, done. Amen.
