The eyes of the world are, on the United States as many of its cities are, rocked with Coronavirus pandemic. As we listen to television reports hearing the news that Florida has more cases in one day than some countries has since the epidemic starts.
It would be foolhardy to think that there are not many people asking where is God in all of this, and why would he allow us to suffer so much death and destructions? We cannot ever have an understanding as to the operation of God, but what we can be sure of is that he will never give us more than he knows we can bear.
In a quotation from someone and I am not sure who said it but, it says “test positive for faith, keep your distance from doubt and isolate yourself from fear” therein lies what we should be doing in our lives ensuring that God knows what he is doing.
I am sure that COVID 19 will eventually disappear from being the devastating virus that it is. I know that God, as given his children the knowledge to make sure that we survive this pandemic as others survived the 1918 epidemic.
Let us turn to the Bible to get an understanding as to how much God loves us and what he tells us he will do to protect us and cover us under his amazing wings.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Zephaniah 3:17 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; we will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
Romans 8:37-39 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. I am, persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Psalm 121:7-8 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall keep thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even forever.
God demonstrates and tells us by his words in the Bible how he operates in a world of such doubters. We must believe in his incredible powers know that God never lies, he leaves that to the Devil whose only task is to deceive us and put doubts in our heart, so we question God’s love for his children.
