Why is it so important that as a creation of God, we ignore all the teachings in favour of creating and idolising people, money, and possessions.
According to the Bible the book of Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Exodus 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the surface. That is clear instructions to us as humans.
We ignore the word of God, and we create these false images of the likeness, and we spend our time worshipping and idolising people, money and possessions.
Here in the book of Psalm 135:15-17 The idols of the heathen are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands. They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have them, but they see not; They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.
Habakkuk 2:18 What profiteth the graven image that the maker thereof hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols?
Leviticus 26:1 Ye shall make you no idols, nor graven image, neither rear you up, a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the Lord your God.
