One of the most dangerous tools that the Devil as in his arsenal is vanity. He knows how to use it to control your life.
Satan will amplify your vanity to make you feel superior to others. Make you believe that everyone dislikes you and, to control and take away your ability to trust God.
Does the Bible warn you about vanity? Of course, it does, and it describes Vanity as excessive pride in or admiration of one’s appearance without the humility to appreciate the merit of others, including God.
Ecclesiastes 2:11 Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought. The labour that I had laboured to do and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit. There was no profit under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 2:15 Then said I in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool, so it happeneth even to me; and why was I then wiser? Then I said in my heart, that this also is vanity.
Ecclesiastes 5:10 He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver, nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity. Proverbs 31:30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.
1 Samuel 16:7 But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or the height of his stature. Because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.
You cannot allow the world and the misinformation that the Evil one puts out to deter you from the truth of God. Vanity destroys lives and creates self-importance.
