Death affects us all irrespective of who you are. It is not something that decides whether you are wealthy or you are poor. We all have to face that reality sometimes in our lives.
But, what does the Bible tells us about death? How do you cope when death comes into your family, friends or acquaintances life.
John 11:25-26 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? You are told here that death is not something you should worry about because if you die in Christ then you will be resurrected.
Romans 14:8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.
Psalm 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. When you are in the protection of God, follow His teachings and resting on His everlasting truth then death is a fleeting moment in time. A passing of the old into the new. A portal to God’s everlasting glory.
Romans 8:38-39 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come. Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
God told you in His own words that not even death can separate His love for you. We should never be afraid of death because of the promise that God made to you. We should rejoice when our loved ones die in Jesus Christ because we know where they are going.
1 Corinthians 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 1 Corinthians 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The grave as no victory and death has no sting. God controls both and he is the only one that can destroy not just the body but also the soul.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and Christ and shall reign with him a thousand years.
