What The Bible Say We Should Do Living In A World Of Turmoil? We convince ourselves that there is nothing we can do to ease the burdens of a world besieged by turmoil.
How can we cope? What can we do facing the chaos of our world? Besieged by violence, earthquakes, storms, fires, floods, unscrupulous government. Brothers against brothers, sisters against sisters, families split apart because of lies and insane political differences. Millions of people dying due to civil wars and starvation are displaced from communities they lived in all their life.
Some are asking the question have God forsaken his children in these chaotic times. Let us look at the Biblical verse and warnings given to us about how we deal with the turmoil and know that God never has and will never abandon his children.
Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh. So now you know that what is happening is not by accident; it is a part of the predictions of the Bible, but God told us not to worry because our redemption is very near.
Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. Hebrews 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. God tells us that regardless of the turmoil or chaos, we must take up his yoke, learn from him and understand that he is our keeper.
Psalm 91:1-8 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Highest shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord; He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler and the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as you have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Ephesians 6:10-13 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
