Christians are under the illusion that somehow God owes us an explanation if our lives get painful or confusing. God is there to help us but he does not have to give us any reasons and once we realise that we can have faith and trust in him without question.
We need to understand that our faith is something that requires no evidence to believe or practice. Once we accept God as our Lord and Saviour, we must have confidence in his ability to enrich our lives and remove all stumbling block out of our path and work miracles into our lives.
The Bible tells us in these scriptures listed below about the meaning of faith.
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:6 But without faith, it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Matthew 17:20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove, and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
2 Corinthians 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight. Ephesians 6:16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Father, I know that you owe no explanation of how and what you are, but strengthen my resolve and draw me closer to you and your glory so that I may shine before all of humanity and proclaim your glory throughout the land, in Jesus name Amen.
