An accident this is described as an unfortunate incident that happens unexpectedly and unintentionally, typically resulting in damage or injury.

If someone gets behind the wheel of a motor vehicle drunk and drive, crash and the passenger in the car dies, I do not call that accident, because that is not unexpected, if you are intoxicated anyone knows the chances of crashing a car goes up astronomically.

Equally, if some know that the driver of a car is drunk and get into that motor car with that person, then they are equally stupid. The reason there are so many warning about drinking and drinking is that alcohol impairs your ability to drive safely.

There is a media report regarding a 30-year-old female that was three times over the drink-drive limit crash the car her sister-in-law killed; she is now doing four years in prison. What I find amazing people who act so irresponsible comes out of this incident unharmed and the innocent who were not behaving that way ends up been hurt or dead.

I detest drink driving and especially drunk drivers; I believe to get knowingly behind the wheel of a car drunk is deplorable.  Every time some drunk gets behind the wheel of a motor vehicle they are putting someone’s life at risk if they choose to harm themselves that is their prerogative, but an innocent bystander is another matter.
