Given everything that is happening in our world right now, the Coronavirus devastating communities all around the world and life as we once know it seems to be a distance memory.
What are the benefits of us being in the presence of God, and more importantly, what does the Bible tells us about being in God’s presence?
Exodus 33:14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest. God is reminding us that regardless of what we are going through, we are in His presence, and he will not give us more than we can cope.
Isaiah 50:4 The Lord God hath given me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him that is weary: he wakeneth morning by morning, he wakeneth mine ear to hear as the learned.
In the presence of God all, you have to do to make sure that all is well just turn to the book of Jeremiah 33:3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee mighty things, which thou knowest not.
Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God: I will be, exalted among the heathen, I will be, promoted in the earth.
Psalm 42:1-2 As the earth panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?
James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
John 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Sometimes when we feel disappointed, frustrated and miserable with this life, we can turn to the book of Psalm 42:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted in me? Hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance.
Remember the presence of God and why we dwell within him and know that no matter what we are enduring God is in the mix with us and all that cause us pain and suffering will be passed, and we shall overcome in Jesus Name.
