Right now Satan as a stranglehold on the earth and it’s people. He engrossed himself into the lives of world leaders, making them treat their citizens appalling.
When you look at the world and all the evil that exists, you wonder if there is any way that this wickedness will ever come to an end. Yes, it will eventually come to an end, and God will once again reclaim His creation, and the world will be peaceful and crimeless.
In the meantime, you have to give God a chance to defend and protect you from the evil one. Trust God to supply your needs, be your brother’s keeper, love your neighbour, keep away from greed, lust, gluttony, sloth, vanity and envy.
The stranglehold the Devil as on the world is primarily through greed. He make sure that the vast amount of the world’s wealth is, concentrated in the hands of a few. Those few create a system that causes enormous poverty to a tremendous amount of people, and in doing so, the people will blame God for all their problems. Satan way of controlling the masses.
Isaiah 14:13 – For thou hast said in thine heart. I will ascend to, heaven I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will also sit upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north. God gives us an insight into what the Devil believes he is going to achieve.
Luke 13:11 – And, behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. An affliction that Jesus attributed to Satan. He put his hands on her, and immediately she straightened up and praised God. Jesus showed that His miracle was a clear demonstration of His authority over Satan.
Romans 16:20 – And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is with you. Amen.
