Do not be fooled or put blinkers over your eyes. The Devil is attacking you right at this moment.
However, we have a fantastic weapon at our disposal, and it is called prayer. Remember the adversary attacks your desires, needs, wishes, health and your love for God, he scheme against you daily.
The scripture warns us in1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because of your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: So God told us to put on his full armour so that every scheme the Devil as against us will be defeated.
Praying to safeguard our heart we turn to the book of Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Mighty God, cover our thoughts with the helmet of your salvation, reminding us constantly that we are your children and the enemy cannot defeat us. Lord Jesus, bring us to what is true, honourable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable. Help us to think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise so your peace will guard us all.
Eternal Father, keep the enemy away from us so we can calm our emotions with the peace of your presence. Help us to follow your command and not worry about woes or tribulations, but pray about everything, with a thankful heart offering up prayers and requests to you so that you can give us the peace that no one but you can understand.
Almighty God, let me follow the teachings of James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath. Heavenly Father, guard our mouth so that our words will be few. Help us to be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger. Don’t let us speak reckless words that can pierce like swords. Instead, give us a tongue that brings healing in the name of Jesus Amen.
