As Christians and warriors of God, we face tremendous anxiety, stress, illness and everything evil that the adversary can throw at us. So we need to know how to anchor our souls during those difficult times.
When you feel as if your soul, your inner being is down to the ground remember the words of the book of Psalm 43:5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? And why art thou disquieted within me? Hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
The book of Hebrews 6:19 With hope we have an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
Paul knew that he was in problems on the sea and as the scripture says in Acts 27:29 Then fearing lest we should have fallen upon rocks, they cast four anchors out of the stern and wished for the day. There are many ways in which we can anchor ourselves, and the biggest one is our faith in the Almighty God.
We are, reminded in the book of Romans 5:5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is, given unto us. Therefore, we can have as much hope as we need because it will never put us to shame.
Mighty God, give us strength in our time of weakness. During anxious times Lord delivers your children out of misery and plant our feet firmly on the ground of hope, trust, remembrance and faith, in the precious name of Jesus Christ Amen.
