Satan is an angel created by God who turned against the teaching of the Creator and believed He could set himself up against a powerful God.
The Devil is the head of an evil kingdom which he rules with his demons. However, Bible verses below give you an insight into what God and other angels think about the Devil and what will eventually happen to this evil.
Isaiah 14:13 – For thou hast said in thine heart; I will ascend into, heaven I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will also sit upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Matthew 25:41-Then shall he even say unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
Jude 9 – Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.
To fully understand the relationship between God and the Devil, you must turn to the book of Job. In those scriptures, you will understand why Satan believes he can go above God. Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came among them.
When Satan told his lies about Job, he said to God Job 1:11 But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. God, permits him to affect Job’s life, his possession, family, health demonstrating that no matter what Satan throws at Job, he was never going to turn away from God.
Live in the shadow of Job, repel Satan, let Him know that no matter what he throws in your path, God is more than capable of removing them.
