Terrorist and terrorism have changed the way in which we travel. It has been 16 years since 9/11, and we are still feeling the effects of the crackdown on terrorism.
As reported in the media if you are travelling and you find SSSS ‘Secondary Security Screening Selection’ on your boarding pass you will face much more extensive security screening process, which apparently put an extra half an hour on your time at the airport.
The report suggests that individuals or picked at random, but I have a hard time believing that especially the fact that it seems to be targeted, at people heading to the USA.
In my opinion, the vast majority of travellers welcome the heightened security measure we encounter at the airport; most individuals have no problem going through these extra security protocols. However, every security measure should be, targeted at everyone, but if you are picking on a specific group. I do not agree with that kind of profiling.
