Many people see the act of baptism as a Christian ritual that has no part in a modern society, and they would be wrong or do not understand the importance of being baptised.

The Bible, God’s divine words are full of scriptures about baptism; it even references the fact that Jesus himself was, baptised. Baptism is one way of connecting with God on a pure level.

We can look at the scriptures here and realise that God takes the act of baptism very seriously. Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Ephesians 4:4-6 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are, called in one hope of your calling; 5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Mighty God, help me to undertake all your instructions that I can live a life that is pleasing in your sight. Remove every obstacle and stumbling block that is in my way, Jesus I ask of you Amen.
