The importance of Friends and Neighbours and what the ‘Bible’ says about them

Mighty God, I thank you for another glorious day and all that you have blessed me with today. Thank you for waking your children to see your fabulous creation. Father, today I am praying for friendships and neighbours.

Eternal God, bring friends and neighbours today under your precious wings. Anchor neighbours and friends in one accord, give us the ability and strength to respect our neighbours be honest with our friends and recognise the importance that you place on both.

Heavenly Father, you have told us in these scriptures how much value you place on our relationship with our friends and neighbours. Guide us Lord to be obedient and love our friends and neighbours so that we can build a world of tolerance, spiritual unity and love for each other.

Mark 12:31 And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is no other commandment greater than these. Leviticus 19:18 Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I [am] the LORD. Leviticus 19:13 Thou shalt not defraud thy neighbour, neither rob [him]: the wages of him that is hired shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

John 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Proverbs 18:24 A man [that hath] friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend [that] sticketh closer than a brother.

We bless your holy name and thank you for the strength, knowledge and understanding that you have, give your children, in Jesus name. Amen
