Decision making is a fundamental part of our existence. But how we go about achieving effectiveness in the decisions we make is by asking for God’s help.
Getting wisdom from the creator is not super spiritual or mystical. We have to ask God to help us think both clearly and biblically.
The book of Proverbs 15:22 Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. Proverbs 2:6 For the Lord giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
James 1:5-6 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be, given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.
Sometimes the decisions that we make on our own are flawed, and the result that we expect do not materialise because we fail to consider the teachings of the Bible and more importantly requesting God’ help to show us what to do.
Today we are going to make a concerted effort to say to God. Eternal Father, and Everlasting Saviour we come to you with all our decisions and pray that you will help us to make the right choices, help us to understand that we must make decisions that bring fruitfully outcome and ones that do not allow the adversary to gain entrance into our lives in your name we pray Amen.
