You Feel Disheartened But Do Not Give Up On Your Faith. With the current state of the world, high inflation, the cost of living, and hike in prices and fuel, no one could blame you if you feel disheartened.
You feel like you cannot be your brother’s keeper; why should you do any good to anyone when it feels like no one is looking after you, and how much more can you take.
I know that you are not the only one feeling that way, and today I felt as if I was losing my faith because of all that was happening around me; then, I realised there was a book I could turn to for answers and strengthen my faith in God.
So let us look at what the Bible says about our faith when things are not going well. Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful about nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God and the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, love, and a sound mind. James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Zechariah 9:12 Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even today do I declare that I will render double unto thee;
Deuteronomy 31:6 Be strong and of good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.
Deuteronomy 1:21 Behold, the Lord thy God hath set the land before thee: go up and possess it, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath said unto thee; fear not, neither be discouraged.
1 Peter 5:10-11 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
Lamentations 3:22-24 It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness. The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him.
