According to a media report, a 45-year old Camden, North London man was jailed for a year for sharing terrorism video on Facebook.

Apparently, not only had he shared the terrorism video, but he trawled the internet for extremist material, evidence of which was, found when police seized his phone and computer. Investigation showed he shared terrorist information of extremist nature.

I cannot understand those individuals. Freedom of speech is essential in our society, but inciting others to commit criminal activities is not freedom of speech, it is stupidity, and that it’s something that anyone who believes they can use social media to promote their terrorist or bigotry will know they can be, sent to prison.

I hope this act as a lesson to those who believe they can use social media to spread the stupidity of terrorism.
