Many people are either blinded or ignoring the immense power that the Devil as on Earth.
The first thing that Christians need to be aware of is that Satan is a Supernatural being with a tremendous supernatural force that was given to him by God. Although he was cast down from heaven, he still retains these powers.
Because God knows the power that the Devil has he gave us an instrument (the Bible) in which to not only recognise the power of the Devil but how to defeat him if we wish. We are capable of identifying all of his arsenal of evil by the deeds that are carried out among and around us daily.
Satan number one task is to steal your eternal life with God, and he will go to extreme lengths to do so. He uses human fragility such as greed, lust, pride, envy, hatred and the abominable things we do to each other to steal our joy.
It is, said that God is the great General in this warfare. He has given us the walkie-talkie of prayer to call for his help. God sees behind enemy lines and knows precisely the strategies that will be, used against us. He has a wartime manual so that Satan would not outwit us. The reason that Satan cannot trick us is that we are not ignorant of his designs. As said her in the book of 2 Corinthians 2:11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
We already know the Devil capabilities, seen that the Devil is a mighty being who opposes God and tempts God’s people. He still has the power to influence men for evil. The Bible calls him the wicked one, the devil, a murderer, a liar, and the father of lies, an adversary who seeks to devour, that old serpent, and accuser of our brethren.
God summed up the Devil here in John 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it.
Matthew 13:19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was, sown in his heart. It is he which received seed by the wayside.
