None Of Us Is Above Reproach, We Have All Sinned

Too many times as Christians, we delude ourselves that we are more righteous than others and that our Christian values are better than others.

No one on this Earth should lay claim to being better than another person in respect of Christianity. The Bible tells us in the following scriptures – Psalm 51:5 Behold, I was shaped in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. – Ecclesiastes 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not. – Romans 3:10 As it is, written, There is none righteous, no, not one.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:12 Wherefore, as by one person sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned. We need to understand that we are all sinners, and although many have been reborn through Jesus Christ, we cannot take the moral high ground that we are better Christians than someone else.

The book of 1 John 1:8-10 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

We should not be patting ourselves on the back, thinking that our Christian values are above those of others. It is time that we embrace each other and recognises that we all have flaws, and none is above reproach. God wants us to unite in our Christian faith, to preach the Gospel among each other and only judge fairly without pride and prejudice.
