It seems that here in London we have been waiting for the summer weather for a long time, and it arrived with a vengeance.Boy hot weather

Since Sunday the weather has reached temperature, I never expect to see again this year, and it just comes out of the blue.  It is so hot in London at present that staying indoors is the preferred action for me.

There is a saying ‘be careful what you ask for; you might just get it’.  For months I have been complaining and moaning how cold I am and questioning the fact that even if the temperature rise it is only for a fleeting moment.  In June I was still wearing coat, cardigan as if it was January or February.

It is currently 33-degree centigrade, humidity 51% and winds ten mph. We are currently warm that the UK weather will soar higher than Los Angeles and Ibiza, and that is saying how hot it is in the UK.

According to the media Londoners are told by the Met Office and the Public Health England to stay indoors out of the sun between 11 am and 3 pm to prevent physical exertion.  I can agree with their assessment, as yesterday I was so hot I almost pass out.

My friends are saying to me that been originally from Jamaica; they cannot understand why the hot temperature should bother me.  It is rather difficult to make then understand that I have live in the UK for over 30 something years, spend more of my life in the UK more than Jamaica.  Furthermore, the hot weather in Jamaica is entirely different from the UK they do not get this humidity as in the UK.

I am happy that we have seen some good weather at last, but the price we are paying for the hot weather could be detrimental to especially my health.
