Today You Are Covered By The Goodness Of A Forgiven God. How often have you wondered whether God’s awesome power is with you, and if so can you feel His presence?

The vast majority of times, as children of God, we wonder why God forgive us when we sometimes go against His instructions and teaching. The simple answer is that being made in his image; he allowed His son to be crucified so that we get forgiveness time and time again when we make mistakes.

To understand why God is so forgiving, let us turn to the Bible, the undisputed word of the living God, to understand more about our creator.

Psalm 27:13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Nahum 1:7 The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.

Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God and are called according to his purpose. Romans 8 verse 28 defines God’s goodness and tells us that all things shall work together to them that love God. Of course, we may make mistakes, but the true testament is our unwavering love for God.

Psalm 31:19 Oh how great is thy goodness, which thou hast laid up for them that fear thee; which thou hast wrought for them that trust in thee before the sons of men!

Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God is.

Let us now look again at what the Bible says about God forgiving us and the requirements that must be met to demonstrate to God that we truly deserve His forgiveness.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful, forgiving us, and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.

Matthew 6:14-15 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Forgiveness is not a one-way street. God tell us that if we want His forgiveness, we must also forgive each other.

Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and I will remember their sins and iniquities no more. Ephesians 4:32: Be kind to another, tenderhearted, and forgive one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, called by my name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

We seem to be of the assumption that gaining forgiveness from God is a difficult thing to do, but, as we see from the scripture above, it is straightforward to follow God’s instruction and gain the forgiveness that he promises us. We know that God is not a liar.
