There is a misconception that the moment we pray to God and ask for favours they should materialise immediately.

However, if you knew the teachings of the Bible, you will realise that it document over twenty people who had to exercise great patience. For example, Mary, Jesus mother not only had to search for a place to deliver her son but had to wait for him to show his greatness.

It also happened that Noah spent over one hundred years building the ark. Then lived over three hundred days living with the uncertainty of what would happen but, patiently waited for God to give him dry land.

We cannot forget Job, Daniel, Hosea, Esther, Joseph, Abraham, Caleb, Moses, Jacob and Samuel all had to exercise great patience in their varying circumstances. God rewarded Their Patience.

The Bible also told us Ecclesiastes 7:9 Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools.

Below are other Bible verses that remind us to exercise patience. From Proverbs, Romans, and Psalms

Proverbs 14:29 He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly.

Romans 8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.

Psalm 27:14 Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.

Psalm 37:7 Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Amen
