What Does The Bible Say About How God Help Us? We ask God for His help in many different circumstances, and we wonder how He will assist us with what we need.
We sometimes ask God for financial help, resources to get home, employment, health problems, or help with family and friends’ issues. How does God help us?
The most excellent helper that God sent to humanity is Son Jesus Christ. Let us look at what the Bible tell us about God’s other helpers.
Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Psalm 54:4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
As you ask God for His help in various ways, remember the promise He made to you here in the book of Psalm 23:1-6Â The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
Philippians 4:6-7 Be careful about nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Psalm 121:1-8 I will lift my eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help, My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth. He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall keep thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and coming in from this time forth, and even forever.
James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness, nor shadow of turning.
Acts 4:32-35 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things every day. And with great power, the apostles witnessed the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them and brought the prices of the sold things? And laid them down at the apostles’ feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.
James 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God has chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
When you make your prayer request to the Almighty God, remember these words from the book of 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. Amen
