What does the Bible says about money and can we ask God for financial help

Of course, we can ask God for financial help.  According to research information money and possessions are the second most referenced topic in the Bible. Money is, mentioned more than 800 times. However, nowhere in the scripture is debt viewed positively.

It is, said that Jesus spoke about money about 15% of his preaching. Not because he was obsessed with money, but he knew that money was a “heart issue” and one of the reasons that we may use not to follow him.

Jesus understood that the need for money was high among the children of God. Poverty was a tool the Devil uses to seduce and tempt those who were doubtful or weak minded to do his bidding with the promise that he would make them wealthy.

I know that sometimes God withheld money from us, not as a punishment but to protect us. But how do you put across this message to someone in debt, losing their home, homeless hungry and impoverished?

We need to get the message across to all the children of God who find themselves in poverty that the only way that we can emerge out of their problem is to trust God implicitly. There can be no doubt in our heart when we ask God to fulfil our needs because doubts are what Satan uses to trap us and take us away from the glory of God.

These are some of the bible verses dealing with money. Hebrews 13 verse 5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

Here God is telling us about the way in which we accomplished money. Proverbs 13:11 Wealth gotten by vanity shall be, diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.

1 Timothy 6 verse 9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

Eternal Father, bless me this day with as many financial resources ten times ten so that I can bless my family, my friends and above all undertake your work here on Earth. Lord, you have made your promise to me, and now I am confirming mine to you. Financial independent shall never take me away from your divine glory. It will help me to spread your words far and wide, show compassion to those in need. In Jesus name Amen
