Why Is This World Suffering From Spiritual Blindness? Looking at the different types of problems that we are undergoing in this world, especially COVID 19, has taken so many lives. Are we so numb to the crisis that we become spiritually blind?
When it seems that the answer to the problems cannot come easy, we have the most important book as a reference and to gain incite and give us the answers. What does the Bible say about spiritual blindness?

2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. So those who are worship as a god of the world are lying to the people to keep them from the truth and their spirituality.
Matthew 15:14 Let them alone: they are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. We cannot come to terms with our spiritual blindness because blinds leading blinds, and we need someone to take up the mantle to lead the world out of spiritual darkness.
1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. We are not open to receiving God’s spirit, which is the reason for our spiritual blindness.
For you to understand the spiritual blindness that we are in, we must be able to follow the words of the book of Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. First, take yourself out of the darkness that you will be able to preach the gospel to those in spiritual blindness.
John 12:40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. He, meaning the Devil, blind humanity causing our hearts to be hard so we cannot see that our spiritual blindness is compromised.
1 John 2:11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. So hating each other is is another way we are warned about our spiritual blindness.
Zephaniah 1:17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men because they have sinned against the Lord: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. This is what we have to look forward to unless we step away out of our blindness and embrace God spiritual light.
John 9:39-41 And Jesus said, For judgment, I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.
Psalm 146:8 The Lord openeth the eyes of the blind: the Lord raiseth them that are bowed down: the Lord loveth the righteous. Accepting the living God free you from spiritual blindness and raise you to a level of grace.
Matthew 23:16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
Prayer
Eternal Father and our God, we are in spiritual darkness because the Devil is working overtime in our world. Mighty God, we asked that you remove the spiritual blindness from our eyes, remove the blinding barriers that Satan put upon your children and allow us to come into the light of your grace; we pray in Jesus name. Amen
