According to a media report, some Cardinals are livid about the opening of a McDonals fast food, near the Vatican.
Apparently, the head of the section of the Catholic church that deals with the assets has given the go-ahead for the McDonald’s to be open. He as
also stated that he would not back down from his decision as the deal is legally valid and would earn the Church around £27,000 per month.
Irrespective that this area may be of architectural traditions and also near the square where the Pope holds his weekly papal audiences, is neither here are there, and a McDonald’s fast food store will certainly not prevent Catholic from attending.
The world has changed, and Catholic Cardinals needs to recognise this and changed with it. Progress is not going to wait for them and if they do not embrace a changing world they are subjecting themselves to live, stuck in the past.
One cardinal as allege that the identity of the area has lost. But it is not, in my opinion, all that occur improvement and just like how we are enjoying the historical effects, of St peter’s Basilica, a future generation will love the sight of the McDonald’s.
