I am not sure if our society as gone crazy or the lack of respect for authority has diminished over the years so that police officers can be ambushed and beat up by school children.

According to a media report, two met police officers, were ambushed, by a group of 30 students.  It seems that one of the officers approached a teenager he thought was trying to hide a knife.  He was set upon by the group knocked to the ground where he was repeatedly, kicked.  His colleague intervenes and was, punched in the jaw.

Apparently, this incident took place on November 9 in the London Borough of Lewisham.  However, the Met decided to release information about the incident today.  They are hoping that individuals that may have recorded the incident on their mobile phones will get in touch with Lewisham police investigating team.

I am shocked and appalled that our society has broken down so far that school children can believe it is acceptable to attack police officers. I am not suggesting that police officers are a saint, they have caused their fair share of problems, but it is unacceptable for them to be attacked by school children. – Ridiculous.
