From my perspective, parents are supposed to protect their children with their life if necessary. What a mother is not allowed to do is to coerce their children into committing murder, but that is exactly, what one mother did.

A media report detailed the outrageous way in which a woman apparently, scorned by her lover plotted his demise.  The 37-year-old woman enlisted the help of her 44-year-old ex-husband, and 16-year-old son lured the unsuspecting 33-year-old victim to her

apartment with the promise of a birthday cake. They proceeded to murder him and then stuffed his body in a cardboard box and dumped him in the booth of his car like he was just garbage.

Following a six-week trial, they were all found guilty of murder, both adults sentence to life with a minimum of 27 and 25 years behind bars.  The sixteen-year-old got six years. 

How does society come to terms with this kind of evil in our communities, and comprehend that a mother could use her child in such a counter-productive manner?  I cannot imagine whether this teenager can reconcile the realisation that he has killed another human being, not in self-defence, but in a calculated way under the coercion of your mother.
