What are God’s Covenants And Promises For Your Life? Believers and Non-believers sometimes wonder what God’s promises and covenants are for our lives.
We need to turn to the Bible to find the answers to that question. Because once you know what God has in store for your life and how he ensures it is fulfilled, life becomes easier to bear and adversities easier to manage.
First, we are going to look at the covenants and promises. God’s first covenant to us, Genesis 9:11 And I will establish my covenant with you, neither shall all flesh be cut off by the waters of a flood; neither shall there be a flood to destroy the earth.
Luke 22:20 Likewise, the cup after supper says, ” This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
Hebrews 8:6 But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.
Hebrews 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that through death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Jeremiah 31:31-34 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was a husband unto them, saith the Lord:
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, write it in their hearts; and be their God, and they shall be my people. And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Deuteronomy 4:13 And he declared unto you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, even ten commandments; and he wrote them upon two tables of stone.
Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Exodus 19:5 Now, therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
Hebrews 13:20-21 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant. Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory forever and ever.
Isaiah 54:10 For the mountains shall depart, and the hills are removed; but My kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed, saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee.
God’s promises and covenants are laid out in the Bible for us all to read and absorb. You must know that God does not break his promises or the covenants he left for us to follow. No matter what life throws at you, remember that God’s love for you is steadfast and trust him to solve the problems in your life. Amen
