Christians Need To Understand About The Devil, Bible And God. The Devil is out to get you. The more you know about him and the way he works, the better prepared you’ll be.
Many Christians believe that they know all about Satan and what he is capable of doing, and because of that, we let our guard down and that allows him to slip into our lives and cause mayhem and chaos.
When children of God underestimate the enemy and rest assured the Devil is our enemy, we allow him the privilege of influencing our lives which become detrimental to serving God.
We know about Satan; he accuses God of not being completely truthful with Adam and Eve. He accuses the first humans of misunderstanding God’s instructions. He sets himself up as the adversary of both God and humanity by twisting God’s truth into a lie.
So let us look at what the Bible, the word of God, says about the Devil.
Warning one from the book of 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walkabout, seeking whom he may devour.
1 John 3:8 He that sin is of the devil; for the devil sin from the beginning. For this purpose, the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the devil’s works.
John 8:44 Ye are of your father, the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it.
2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Here is another way the Devil can fool us because he can transform into an angel of light and feed the children of God false information, and if we do not recognise this demon, we can easily fall under his spell.
God is telling us what Satan is capable of achieving, so here in the book of James 4:7, Submit yourselves, therefore, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Revelation 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceive the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. If you wonder why the devil plagues the world, then here in the book of Revelation, we are told.
Satan may be able to use his guile to fool the world, but the Bible tell us in the book of Romans 16:20, And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is with you. Amen
2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. We, the children of God, must be filled with the love of God that the devil cannot penetrate our armour.
2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, kill, and destroy: I have come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly. The Devil is a thief; he will steal your joy, eternal salvation, everlasting life if you allow him.
Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Having to recognise who and what the Devil is, we have to armour ourselves against him. Do not let him cause us to go against our brothers and sisters or corrupt God creation.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever. This is what is waiting for the Devil, do not follow him into damnation. We know who the Devil is, and he cannot fool those who knew what he is and what he stands for.
When you understand how God works the Devil place in the world and what Satan is capable of doing to corrupt and suppress the children of God, then you know that the only way to defeat Satan is through the word of God, and that means we use the Bible every day to cast Satan aside and keep our faith in the living God.
Understanding who God is will completely shift your life, beliefs, and the way you view yourself and the world. There’s a lot to say about who God is, and it’s all such good news. There is five truth about God we must always remember: our Father, Redeemer, Sanctifier, and King.
Now that we understand the difference between God, Bible and the Devil, we have to choose very simply. Do we choose everlasting life with God or the damnation with the Devil?
